Tim
Bolt joined JETS full-time as a Research Associate on the Corporate Governance of Telecoms New Entrants project.
One of the two TelecomVisions team members primarily interested in the mobile telecoms market,
he is now working on a JETS study of mobile data applications and content.
Prior to this, Tim was finishing his PhD within the Department of Economics at the
University of Edinburgh. Despite the subject of his thesis being International
Environmental Agreements, he was also able to foster his interest in
Telecommunications and the Economics of Networks while in Edinburgh.
During his postgraduate studies, Tim worked as a Research Assistant on an ESRC
Telecommunications Regulation Project doing a comparison of US and New Zealand
regulatory reforms and local loop access issues.
Tim's role in the TelecomVision's project prior to joining JETS full-time was on
the conceptual and technical aspects of the web site. With his colleagues at
sub-lime.com, he has been responsible for the scripting and design of the site. He continues developing and expanding the site while at JETS.
